Day 1: JNIA Airport – Dar es Salaam City     

Arrive at Dar es Salaam International Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed to our 10-Day Highlights of Tanzania’s Southern Circuit Safari by your guide. After a brief introduction, enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel in the city, located approximately 12 km (about 30 minutes) from the airport. Relax and unwind after your journey as you prepare for the exciting days ahead on your Southern Circuit safari. This overnight stay in Dar es Salaam sets the perfect tone for the adventure to come.

Day 2: Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, depart for Mikumi National Park, a scenic drive through the heart of southern Tanzania. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive if time permits and continue with our 10-Day Highlights of Tanzania’s Southern Circuit Safari.

Often called the ‘Little Serengeti,’ Mikumi is famed for its sweeping plains, large herds of elephants, majestic baobab trees, and excellent chances of spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, and more. The park offers an ideal introduction to the diverse wildlife and landscapes of the Southern Circuit.

Day 3: Mikumi National Park – Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Mikumi National Park, where you may spot elephants, lions, and other wildlife in the early light. Later, begin your journey to Ruaha National Park, driving through scenic mountain landscapes. Day 4: Ruaha National Park               

Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge before setting out for a full-day game drive in the breathtaking Ruaha National Park. With a picnic lunch along the way, you’ll have the entire day to explore this remote and spectacular wilderness.

Day 5: Ruaha National Park – Udzungwa National Park

Day 6: Udzungwa National Park – Morogoro Town

At the base of the waterfall, you may even take a refreshing swim in the cool, natural pool. Day 10: Dar es Salaam City – JNIA Airport – Home                                             

After breakfast, transfer to Dar es Salaam. If time allows, enjoy optional shopping or a short city tour to explore the vibrant culture and local markets (Optional). Later, transfer to the airport for your flight home or onward to the beautiful island of Zanzibar and that make an end of our 10-Day Highlights of Tanzania’s Southern Circuit Safari.
