Your 11 Days Experience of Kenya Safari begins with a warm welcome at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After completing arrival formalities, you will be met by your professional safari driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi, a journey of about 35 minutes depending on traffic. Once checked in, you may take time to relax and recover from your journey. For those arriving early, the hotel offers plenty of leisure opportunities you can stroll through the grounds, take a refreshing swim in the pool, or participate in optional activities available at the property. This first evening gives you the perfect chance to settle in and prepare for the adventure ahead.

After an early breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel at 7:30 am to start your scenic journey towards Amboseli National Park. The route takes you along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway, offering sweeping views of the African savannah, dotted with local homesteads and sightings of the Masai tribesmen dressed in their colorful attire as they herd their cattle.
Arrive in Amboseli in time for check-in, refreshments, and lunch at your lodge. Later in the afternoon, embark on your first exciting game drive within the park. This is the best time to spot elephants, giraffes, lions, and many other species as they emerge during the cooler hours of the day. With luck, and clear weather, you will also be treated to breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peaks the tallest free-standing mountain in the world forming a stunning backdrop for photography.

Spend a full day exploring the diverse landscapes of Amboseli, from its open plains and swamp areas to acacia woodlands and dry lake beds. Game drives will be conducted in the early morning, mid-morning, and late afternoon, giving you ample chances to encounter Amboseli’s famous elephant herds, along with predators such as lions and cheetahs, as well as abundant birdlife.
Between game drives, enjoy delicious meals and relaxation at your lodge, where you can unwind with views of the surrounding wilderness. Your safari vehicle and expert guide will be at your disposal, ensuring you experience the park’s highlights at a comfortable pace.

After breakfast, set off on a long but scenic drive to the central highlands of Kenya. En route, stop for lunch at the historic Blue Post Hotel in Thika, a landmark dating back to colonial times. The journey continues through the fertile farmlands of the central region, characterized by tea and coffee plantations and beautiful rolling hills.
Upon arrival at Aberdare National Park, check into your tree lodge where wildlife can often be viewed from the balconies of your cabin, particularly at the floodlit waterholes and salt licks that attract elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, and other nocturnal visitors. Aberdare also offers excellent opportunities for bird watching and photography, making it a truly unique overnight stay.

After breakfast, continue your journey with scenic stops to view coffee and tea plantations before reaching Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya’s most renowned wildlife sanctuaries. On arrival, settle into your lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive.
Ol Pejeta is especially known for its pioneering conservation efforts. Here, you may encounter the endangered black and white rhinos, along with elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and a wide range of predators. The conservancy is also home to a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees, providing you with a rare opportunity to observe these fascinating primates.

Spend the entire day exploring Ol Pejeta with morning and afternoon game drives. The conservancy is home to some of the rarest and most endangered species in the world, including wild dogs, Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, and cheetahs. Large prides of lions roam freely, and the open plains are ideal for spotting them in action. With a rich biodiversity and strong conservation initiatives, Ol Pejeta offers an unmatched safari experience that combines wildlife viewing with education on conservation.

After breakfast, depart Ol Pejeta and travel towards the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, stop at Thomson’s Falls, a stunning 74-meter waterfall, perfect for photographs. Continue to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake surrounded by lush greenery and rich birdlife.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride across the lake, where you can spot pods of hippos, fish eagles, kingfishers, and other aquatic birds. The experience continues with a guided walking safari on Crescent Island, where you can safely walk among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes while learning about the area’s unique ecosystem.

Begin the morning with a trek through Hell’s Gate National Park. Unlike many parks, Hell’s Gate can be explored by bicycle, offering a fun and active way to experience its dramatic cliffs, gorges, and geothermal activity. Later, depart for the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in the afternoon. After checking in, embark on your first game drive in the Mara, giving you a glimpse of the extraordinary wildlife density that makes the reserve so iconic.

Spend a full day immersed in the wonders of the Masai Mara. Known as the crown jewel of Kenya’s parks, the Mara is celebrated for its vast savannah landscapes, high concentration of wildlife, and dramatic predator-prey interactions.
Your game drives may reveal the legendary Big Five lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino along with cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and countless antelope species. Depending on the season, you may also witness the breathtaking Great Migration, as millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the plains and rivers in search of greener pastures.

This extra day in the Mara allows you to dive even deeper into the park’s wildlife spectacles. You can choose to continue with unlimited game drives or enhance your safari with optional activities. These include visiting a traditional Masai village to learn about the tribe’s culture ($20 per person), or taking a hot air balloon safari at sunrise, offering panoramic views of the plains below and unforgettable wildlife sightings ($420 per person).

Enjoy an early morning game drive before bidding farewell to the Mara. After breakfast, depart for Nairobi with a lunch stop en route. Expect to arrive in the city around 4:30 pm, with drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
