On this 7 Days Tanzania Camping Safari, you will explore four of Tanzania’s northern nature reserves. Apart from the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will also visit the Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park. You will see swamps and savannah, huge herds of elephants and a crater full of game.
Highlights:
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be met by our driver and transferred to your hotel in Arusha (approximately 45 minutes). Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the hotel grounds, enjoy a swim, or relax before your adventure begins.
After breakfast, we’ll make a short stop in Arusha for last-minute shopping before heading to Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy your first thrilling game drive before continuing to your campsite near Mto wa Mbu.
Today takes you to Lake Manyara National Park, a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 400 species. Keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, hippos, and tree-climbing lions. After your game drive, head back to Mto wa Mbu to relax at the campsite.
After breakfast, journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views and a picnic lunch. Arrive in Serengeti for an afternoon game drive, then settle into your camp in the heart of the park.
Spend the day exploring Serengeti’s endless plains in search of the Big Five and migrating herds. Depending on the season, your guide will take you to the best areas to witness the great migration and predators in action.
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the world’s largest intact caldera. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers incredible game viewing, including the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch before heading to your campsite on the crater rim.
After breakfast, stop in the vibrant town of Mto wa Mbu for souvenir shopping and cultural experiences. Return to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at the airport (Arusha or JRO) for your onward flight.
