Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport

Arrival at Entebbe Airport. Your guide will be there waiting for you. Pick up and proceed to your accommodation.

Day 2: Entebbe-Kibale Forest

Distance: 360 km
Driving time: 6 hours

After breakfast we drive to Kibale Forest. When we reach the forest it is possible to see monkeys on the way. You can make a walk around the community in the afternoon (optional).

Kibale Forest is a spectacular jungle and is best known as Primates Capital of the World. In Kibale Forest live 13 primate species! Including chimps, baboons, black and white colobus, red colobus, grey cheeked mangabey and L’Hoest monkey.

Day 3: Kibale Forest-Chimpanzee Tracking

Chimpanzee tracking in the morning or in the afternoon. It is a fascinating experience event to come face to face with our closest relatives.

Depending on the time of the chimpanzee tracking, we will go for the Bigodi Swamp Walk before or after the chimpanzee tracking. During this walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, you will see many birds and primates.

Day 4: Kibale Forest-Queen Elizabeth National Park

Distance: 160 km
Driving time: 4 hours

Transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. On our way we pass the equator. Game drive in the afternoon.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the best places in Uganda to see lions. Expect to see elephants, lions, many hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and leopards.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Game drive in the morning. Boat trip on the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon.

The Kazinga Channel is one of the highlights of Uganda and has the highest concentration of hippos.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park-Ishasha

Distance: 100 km
Driving time: 3 hours

After breakfast we drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Ishasha sector in the South. Game drive in the afternoon.

Ishasha is famous for its tree climbing lions. The other attraction of Ishasha are the Topis, not found anywhere else in this National Park.

Day 7: Ishasha-Bwindi Impenetrable

Distance: 65 km, 2 hours / 150 km, 5 hours

Early morning game drive in Ishasha. Afterwards we drive to Bwindi Impenetrable. On our way we pass through interesting villages and have some breath-taking views of the mountains.

Bwindi Impenetrable is a unique jungle, with many monkey species. Bwindi is one of the 2 places in the world where you can find Mountain Gorillas.

The lodge in Bwindi we use and driving time to Bwindi depends on the group of gorillas you will track.

Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrabl-Gorilla Tracking

Gorilla Tracking!!!

Early morning departure with your ranger to search for one of the world’s most interesting and endangered animal, the Mountain Gorilla! You will spend one hour with one of our closest relatives. An experience you will never forget.

Accommodation: Depends on the group of gorillas you will be tracking (FB).

Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrabl-Lake Mburo National Park

Distance: 145 km
Driving time: 4 hours

After breakfast we drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Game drive or optional boat trip on the lake in the afternoon. In the evening we make a night game drive with high chances of seeing leopards.

Lake Mburo is one of the 2 national parks with zebras and the only national park with impalas in Uganda. There are no elephants and lions, so walking safaris are possible.

Distance: 320 km
Driving time: 5 hours

Game walk in the morning or game drive. Transfer to Entebbe afterwards. On our way back, we make a stopover at the Equator for photos. Transfer to the airport for your departure.

For visitors traveling to Uganda, it is mandatory to apply for a visa online:

• We advise you to apply for a visa at least one month before departure.
• Please make sure you have the following documents:
  • Copy of your passport (must be valid for at least 6 months after returning from your trip to Uganda)
  • Copy of recent passport size photo
  • A vaccination certificate (Yellow Fever)
  • Return ticket
  • All documents in pdf, jpeg, png or bmp format, small file size (minimum file size is 5 KB. Maximum file size is 250 KB)

Visa Application Process

When you send the form you will immediately receive a tracking code. This code helps you to keep track of how far your application has progressed.

The Ugandan authorities will send you a letter in the email after they have approved your application. Please check your SPAM folder too.

Print this letter and bring it with you when you arrive at Entebbe International Airport or at the overland border.

You need this letter to get your visa or to purchase the entree visa there for USD 50 (Uganda) or USD 100 (East Africa or Multi Entry).

Documents Required for Each Visa

• Copy of your passport (photo page with bio-data). Validity of at least 6 months after returning from Uganda
• Recent Passport size photograph
• Copy of Vaccination Certificate Yellow Fever (copy or photo of your “Yellow booklet”, Certificate of Vaccination, page with Yellow Fever vaccination)
• Return Ticket

Some nationalities do not require a visa, please check this in advance.
